Our Safety Harness Course delivers a minimum of four hours of both theory and hands on practical instruction and assessment, providing delegates with a good understanding of the principles for using Fall Protection Equipment in the workplace.
This course also provides each delegate with a base theoretical knowledge of the work at height regulations required to effectively reduce the risks associated with working at height, the hierarchy of control measures and using personal prevention and protection systems for fall restraint, work positioning and arrest. This is a classroom theory based course intended as a prerequisite to specific practical training such as our Fall Protection Harness training courses.
At the conclusion of this training, participants will achieve a level of competency for inspecting fall protection harnesses, lanyards, and associated connectors, like carabiners. In addition, participants will review legislative requirements and standards for Fall Protection equipment. Practical instruction includes inspection and evaluation of defective equipment as per manufacturer’s instruction.
Both our fall protection and confined space courses teach proper usage, inspection, and maintenance of all parts of fall arrest or confined space systems. We also offer rescue courses to provide hands-on training, so you are prepared in the event of a rescue situation. All courses are instructor-led by certified A.RSM Trainers.
While still offering all classes in-person as available, some courses have transitioned to our classroom setting. Virtual training only applies to specific classes and are included in the open enrolment schedule where available. Our Certified Instructor programs are designed to develop your knowledge and understanding to achieve certification through the training courses. Also our certified instructor programs are built for content consistency and provide a turn-key training solution.
On completion operatives will be able to safely install and use their own fall arrest equipment and have a good understanding of the principles and techniques involved. Our fall protection plan is a set of specific steps that must be followed in the event of a worker falling from a high altitude. In order to be in compliance with occupational health and safety laws, this plan will need to be developed and the employees trained on the execution of the plan before any work at heights can begin. Our course covers how to develop, implement and manage your fall protection plan.
